What is the best package to ride for the park?

Tearing it up in the terrian park. What is the best package to ride?

I.E. Snowboard, boots, bindings.

What is the best package to ride for the park?
I've really been diggin Santa Cruz boards for park riding. Their twin tips use "Biometric Sidecut" and this makes a huge difference. Think about your turns, toe turns are always stronger and tighter than heelside turns, right? Santa Cruz has helped deal with this by designing their twins with a deeper heelside cut which strengthens and tightens your heelside turns for you. And the comply constuction is basically shock absorbers for your board which will reduce hang ups on the rails. Not the cheapest boards on the market but well worth the coin. I really like the Seth Huot.

Keep in mind that no board is really made to handle rails forever. If you jib a lot you WILL break your board, it's only a matter of time. So if rails are your thing you may want to think of a cheaper board that won't hurt as much to replace when you blow it up. The Burton Dominant is great for that.

As far as bindings are concerned, I think that Burton makes the best bindings hands down. Cartels and Mission are great bindings for park riding. Both are similar with the Cartels being a touch stiffer for better response.

Boots are a personal preference. Again, I like Burton but that doesn't mean they will work for you. I would go to a good shop and try on as many pair as you can. For park riding you would probably want a medium flexing boot that way you get the support and flexability you need. Keep in mind that if a boot fits perfectly in the shop then IT IS TOO BIG! A boot should fit very tight in the shop as it will stretch a bit after it is worn. I always buy my boots at least a half size too small but some boots are known to stretch even more than that. Also, if you get a lot of days on the hill (60+) you are going to work your boots harder than most. Other boot companies that I've liked in the past are Northwave, Solomon and K2.
