Are Timberland style boots acceptable?
Going to a dude ranch for a holiday - what shoes should I take for riding?
NO your best bet is a pair of boots such as cowboy or even biker boots it must have a good heel on the boot. they do have high type tennis shoes that are made for riding, check out a store that sells riding apparel. they carry this kind as well as cowboy boots, besides they will protect your ankles. also make sure your jeans are well broken in as new denim will make serious blister's. have fun at the dude ranch.
Reply:yes they are, as long as they are comfy and have a small heal then they are fine so timberland boots are perfect.
