Buying first snowboard, bindings and boots?

Hi, I am buying a Ride Control 06-07 board, and I can%26#039;t decide whether I should go with a 155 or a 158, I am a female, 5%26quot;10 and about 180 lbs.


I also have a size 10 women%26#039;s shoe size, and I%26#039;m debating whether to get the medium or large Ride LS bindings. Haven%26#039;t picked out boots yet.

go to a ski resort to get fitted for a board and bindings. then write down all the specs they give you, and buy the board and bindings with the same specs.
Reply:ad say 155 the 158 is pretty long and that will take alot more outof you as a rider too turn it





but if freeride is your thing longer may be better





freestyle the 155





and if you just like to cruise the slopes 155





always choose your boots first





take your boot with you tooo check but a size ten am pretty sure you will be a large in bindings

Reply:Go with whatever kind of riding you plan on doing shorter for freestyle longer for free ride. With the bindings I would wait until you pick out the boots because different boots run different. They said a medium sized binding would work for my shoe size but luckily I had my boots with me because I have a pair of DC boots and they run a little wider so I ended up getting the large bindings so my feet would actually fit.
Reply:For board size it kind-of depends on what you%26#039;re interested in doing. I prefer a shorter board for jumps/tricks and terrain park stuff. Others prefer a longer board for the slopes.


For bindings I would probably say medium.


And as for boots... I would highly recommend getting plain lace-ups. I got the speed lace, and the first time I used them the plastic piece broke. They may have improved since I got mine, but I haven%26#039;t heard much good about them.
