WHat are the most comfortable work boots?

WHat are the most comfortable work boots that will hold up to motorcycle riding as well and that I can be on my feet for 10 hours a day too?

WHat are the most comfortable work boots?
RedWings

Some models weigh a ton,and are bit bulky/insensitive for biking.

Not BAD,,,just a bit for some folks.

But for long work periods,,they%26#039;re hard to beat.

I wore them for years when I was in Oil Biz,,,

40~60 Hour %26quot; DAYS%26quot; without even sitting down was not usual.

Put in many 90+hr %26quot;days%26quot; over the years.

20Hrs was normal.

Redwing 2230%26#039;s are the Only thing I%26#039;ll wear far as work boots.

They couldn%26#039;t be tougher if they were made outa Iron(or heavier,,lol)

But for me anyway,,,at the end of the day they haven%26#039;t gotten %26quot;heavier%26quot; like a lotta boots do.

Even when your %26quot;day%26quot; is 3~4 days long

They have actual Biker Boots,,,but I never tried %26#039;em.

Seem nice though.

.........................................

Wolverine makes very a good boot,,,generally comparable to Redwings.

Wolverines are lighter,,I never tried %26#039;em,,but I know a buncha folks who like them.

They%26#039;re usually cheaper too.

Many of their styles are in Brown Only,,fwiw.

.........................................

Justin Ropers seem %26quot;underrated%26quot; far as Bikers%26#039; Boots.

They%26#039;re real good wearin%26#039; boots.

Their plain, basic Ropers are Stoopid Cheap $50~60 range.

Well made and comfortable,,light %26amp; flexible for being boots

Rocky Boots are very good stuff.

When it became publicized %26amp; too embarrasing that US personnel in Iraq were having to take boots off of Dead Iraqis in order to have something to wear because %26quot;Our Government%26quot; was paying Top Dollar for Inferior Garbage %26quot;Army Boots%26quot; which were MELTING offa people%26#039;s feet......That Bullshit had to stop.

And Govmnt was rather compelled to go get %26quot;the best boots they could find%26quot;.

They coulda got Anything from Anywhere/Anybody they wanted to.

They chose Rocky Boots.

.........................................

Whatever boot you happen to chose,,,

get yourself some of them Dr Scholl%26#039;s Cushioned Insole inserts things.

The GEL ones are really nice,,,,but the cheapie old fashioned plain ones work great %26amp; are cheap enough to change every month or 2.

They add a BUNCH of comfort for work wear,,,

and they make the boots%26#039; insoles last a bunch longer

.........................................

None of the above are what I%26#039;d consider %26quot;Ideal Riding Boots%26quot;.

If You were gonna take a 2 week Road Trip and spend 10hrs a day on the SEAT instead of Your Feet.....

You%26#039;d really probably want a different boot.

But where the Primary App is a Work Boot for a long day on your feet,,,then double-duty as a Safe,Solid riding boot,,,

I %26#039;bleive the examples above are worth checking out.

Most of them are available in similar lace-up versions.

Man,,,10 Hrs is a Plenty long enough day,,

I hope it%26#039;s a nice ride in %26amp; home again everyday!

Take care.
Reply:Regular Military Combat boots are the best. But if you can%26#039;t get them check out Galls

Reply:cat boots or i have used Military Para boots with added lace in zip to the laces to save time.
Reply:My husband, too , rides a bike (20 years) and has always worn boots for work. He prefers to buy his from a lawman%26#039;s supply store ie...a store where they sell uniforms for the police. He says they%26#039;re the most comfortable and durable. Good luck!
Reply:I wear Chippewa model 27422 a great boot that is not cheap, but they will rebuild it for you if you wear it out for a reasonable price.
Reply:I prefer the converse desert boots. They are light weight, comfortable ,vented. lace up one time and zipps up on the inside. I wear these 10 to 20 hours a day 7 days a week here in Iraq. They are 99 dollars and can be ordered online at www. LA POLICEGEAR.com Fast service and free shipping. i have 2 pair . they are very popular boots here. They also have the composite toe in them that meers or exceeds safety ratings for industrial use.
